Learning Center
Lumen Learning Center teaches students in several different settings. The learning can take place in the student’s home, in a one on one private session at the learning center or in one of our classroom settings. Students have different ideal settings in which to absorb the material presented. We provide the student’s ideal learning environment.
Signs that your child needs some help from a professional tutor:
- Doesn’t want to go to school
- Grades are too low in one or more subjects
- Can’t sit still in class
- Has difficulty paying attention
- Cannot grasp the subject matter no matter how hard the child tries
- Writes letters in unusual ways such as backward
- Extreme difficulty with following directions
Of course, there are many signs that your child needs some help with their studies. When the grades start falling off in one or more subjects in school then it is time to figure out why. Sometimes a temporary distraction can be overwhelming causing the child to fall behind and tutoring can quickly help to return the grades to their normally high level. Other times the situation is a more serious issue like a learning disability.
