Lumen Learning Center is a tutor agency that specializes in teaching all grades to students in their homes or at our facility. We are currently hiring interns, Senior and Junior Tutors.
Tutor Agency
Lumen Learning Center currently needs Senior and Junior Tutors and interns to work 5 or more hours per week with a one year commitment. All our tutors and interns must have excellent communication skills, impeccable time management skills, very good organizational skills, personal references and pass a background check.
Qualifications
Senior Tutors
Work independently with students providing support for their learning needs in our Sunnyvale location and/or students’ homes. Work 5+ hours per week for at least one school year. Senior Tutors mentor Interns.
Qualifications
- Reliable and Prompt
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2–3 years tutoring experience
Experience working with learning challenged students is preferred but not required.
Junior Tutor
Work independently providing support in the learning needs of students in the Lumen Learning Center and also in students’ homes.
Work 5+ hours per week for at least one school year.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a college program
- 1–2 years tutoring experience
- Must be reliable
Experience working with learning challenged students is preferred, but not required.
Intern
Interns work under the supervision of a Senior Tutor providing support for students’ learning needs. Work 3–5 hours per week for at least one school year.
Qualifications
- Reliable and Prompt
- Currently enrolled in a college program
- Prior tutoring experience not necessary
Must have excellent communication skills, impeccable time management and organizational skills.
