Lumen Learning Center is growing at a rapid rate and has several tutoring positions available immediately. We are looking for Interns, Junior Tutors and Senior Tutors.
Tutoring Positions
Lumen Learning Center teaches in a variety of teaching methods to keep students interested and stimulated. We also create programs that are geared toward individual students to help them reach their full potential and develop a love of learning.
We are currently accepting applications for Interns, Junior Tutors and Senior Tutors that live in or near the Sunnyvale, CA, area.
Interns
Interns work for 3 to 5 hours per week at Lumen Learning Center. They work under the supervision of the Senior Tutors and provide support for the students’ learning needs.
Intern Qualifications Include:
Currently enrolled in college
Excellent work habits
Excellent communication skills
Junior Tutors
Junior tutors provide support for the student’s learning needs both in their homes and at Lumen Learning Center. They work 5 or more hours per week for at least one school year.
Junior Tutor Qualifications Include:
1 – 2 years tutoring experience
Pass a background check
Have excellent personal / work references
Have excellent work habits
Have excellent communication skills
Senior Tutors
Senior tutors work independently helping students learn in their homes and in the Lumen Learning Center. They work 5 or more hours per week for at least one school year. They also mentor Interns.
Senior Tutor Qualifications Include:
Bachelor’s Degree
2 – 3 years tutoring experience
Pass a background check
Have excellent personal / work references
Have excellent work habits
Have excellent communication skills
